Welcome to Canvey Thameside u3a
Our u3a was founded on the 8th August 2014 and is proving to be very enthusiastic, active and successful.
The aims and objectives of the Canvey Thameside u3a are that our members, through sharing their knowledge, skills and experience, learn from each other via an amazing combination of opportunities, which include study & education, creative art, music & movement, physical & leisure activities and last but not least, to socialise with each other.
All of these will contribute greatly to our members’ overall health and well-being.
The interest groups are the life blood of a u3a and our aim is to provide whatever groups the members require in terms of study or activities.
We also provide a large variety of social activities throughout the year which may include dances, quiz-nights, day trips, etc.
We meet monthly at St Nicholas Church Hall, Long Road, Canvey Island and meetings start at 10am and finish at 12pm.
